This 6 berth Coachman Amara 570/6 touring caravan has been very well maintained both inside and out and with its clever 6 berth layout, it's the perfect caravan for a larger family with children who need their own space. One of Coachman's most popular ranges, the Amara 570/6 was marketed by Coachman as the "ultimate family caravan", with a rear bedroom for the children, which can be completely closed off from the rest of the living area when required, enabling children to have their own bedroom for sleeping and playing. With the Amara, Coachman also provided a large and well-appointed bathroom as well as incorporating plenty of living space and storage for a fun, and comfortable family holiday.
Externally, the Amara features Grade 3 thermal insulation, aluminium sides manufactured from thicker aluminium for greater impact resistance, provision for the AL-KO Secure wheel clamping system, shock absorbers for smooth towing, Vortex graphite shadow alloy wheels (steel spare wheel, an acrylic capped front ABS panel incorporating three opening windows, integral grab handles, and gas bottle locker door with gas strut, full height acrylic capped rear ABS panel with high level LED brake light and new light cluster incorporating fog light and reversing light, laminated roof, 45mm thick floor with Styrofoam core for insulation and strength, LED awning light incorporating rain gutter, one-piece exterior door with waste bucket, and an exterior door lock with automotive-style key. There is also an external 240v electric socket, an external BBQ point, external shower point and an external outlet for the blown air (for heating the awning). The caravan has a spare wheel stowed in an Alko ‘underslung carrier’. The Alko chassis has a gas-assisted handbrake and an Alko stabiliser and 13 pin towing electrics.
At the front, the spacious lounge area has two single beds or a large double utilising a pull out slat system mounted under the chest of drawers, which has a fold-out table (there is also a fold away table which fits between the seats, this makes a great dining table when sitting more than 2. It has its own tidy stowage). There is plenty of storage in the overhead aircraft style lockers, finished with Italian two-tone locker doors with metallic trim, and more storage under the seats which have access via doors at the front. All the furniture is finished in 'Italian Ash. Above this sitting area is a large Heiki 2 rooflight. The soft furnishings are of a contemporary neutral tone design, and the removable carpets have an ‘easy clean’ wood effect vinyl flooring underneath. There is also a compact Sony entertainments centre with Radio, CD, MP3 and DVD player. Set to one side is a ‘fold out’ shelf with TV power and aerial points.
A well appointed kitchen is positioned in the midsection. The kitchen has a Thetford four ring hob (gas), separate grill and oven, a built in 700W Sanyo microwave, Thetford 107 litre 3-way fridge with full width 11 litre ice box and a large stainless steel sink and draining board. There is ample food/utensil storage space and worktops. There is a bi-directional extractor fan (3 speed) situated above the cooker for ventilation whilst cooking.
The bathroom doesn't disappoint either, being fully equipped with a lined shower cubicle and ABS shower tray, Thetford c-250 cassette toilet, washbasin, mirror and a cupboard. Next to the bathroom is a good sized wardrobe with hanging space for clothes.
At the rear of the caravan is a second sitting area which can be converted into 4 berths. There are a pair of fixed sturdy bunk beds along one side, the bottom berth has a large storage area underneath, both the bunk beds have their own lights and privacy curtains. The seats have a fold away table and can be turned into another single berth and the final berth is a bunk that folds out of the wall (with safety rails and ladder). Under the seats is yet more storage. There is a shelf, cupboard and more overhead lockers, giving plenty of room for all the families belongings. There is a large roof light giving an airy feel. There is also a second TV point. This rear bedroom can be partitioned off from the rest of caravan by means of a concertina sliding door.
All windows are fitted with independent blackout blinds, fly-screens and curtains. There is a stable door also fitted with a fly screen.
The Truma 3002 blown air heating, space heater and Ultrastore water heater all work off electric and gas. There is a BCA 12v system (20amp) with battery charger, a control panel with built-in voltmeter, voltmeter switch, awning light switch, water pump switch, 12v light switch and master switch. Lighting includes a modern 12v LED corner lighting system, ceiling lights with Halogen bulbs and 12v LED reading lights and the light fittings and 230v mains sockets, are all finished in satin silver
The caravan comes complete with 100AH leisure battery, 530 Status aerial, smoke detector, door step, and Sargent Stinger Alarm system. It will also comes with a number of essential camping extras, making this Coachman Amara excellent value for money.
