This Bailey Pegasus 624 is a fantastic, large twin axle caravan with a fixed bed, 'U' shaped lounge and end bathroom. It has an Alu-tech construction, ATC and all fixtures and fittings are to a very high specification. There are many extras, one careful owner, full Bailey service history (last service 30.03.17), new tyres, new leisure battery and is in excellent condition, having been stored under cover from new with Piran Caravan Storage.
Bailey described the 2010 Pegasus as "a caravan that defies convention, concession or compromise" and the Pegasus 624 clearly fits this bold statement well. Built on an Al-Ko galvanised chassis featuring the ATC Trailer Control System, Al-Ko 3004 stabiliser, shock absorbers and wind down floor mounted spare wheel carrier, the 624 packs all the most modern towing and safety improvements into the running gear.
In terms of construction, the Pegasus features Bailey's Alu-Tech fully laminated five part body shelf assembly, housed in a structural, interlocking aluminium framework, including single sheet impact resistant GRP outer skins and corner bumpers. The Pegasus also has Grade 111 thermal insulation, resulting in a caravan which can be used year round if desired. In addition, the exterior also features a newly designed centrally mounted flush fitting gas locker, exterior 230v & gas BBQ points, a Status 550 directional television aerial, an external aerial point for portable satellite dish connection and external solar panel connection provision. To go with the new sleek aerodynamic body profile, the royal blue and graphite grey graphics on the Pegasus were a brand new design in 2011 and really set off the exterior, resulting in a caravan which has a commanding presence both on the road and when pitched on a site.
The Hartel two-part large aperture exterior door with window, blind and waste bin leads to an impressive and luxurious interior. At the front of the caravan, polyplastic double glazed windows, combined with a double-glazed opening vertical skylight, provide a beautiful, panoramic view from the lounge which is spacious, light and airy. The windows, like those throughout the Pegasus, are fitted with Remis two-part pleated blinds and flyscreens. The Pegasus' layout does not compromise on space and the sprung bench seats, in U-shape configuration and featuring storage below, will comfortably seat a large family for relaxing or for mealtimes, using the folding dining table provided. The seats convert into a large double bed, using the new Bailey 'slide out' foot rest mechanism, rather than the previous pull out slats and this is a much neater and easier arrangement. The overhead 'aircraft-style' lockers, in Italian-design dual-finish, provide split-level storage, and feature domestic style hinges and premium handles in matt nickel finish. The locker doors, like all the furniture in the Pegasus, are finished in a stunning Bailey wood effect, resulting in an appearance of real luxury throughout the caravan. The upholstery features Bailey's very attractive and hardwearing 'Gemini' fabric, and is complemented by arm rest cushions, scatter cushions, curtains and 45oz pile 'Bailey Twist' drop in carpets, which cover the wood-block effect flooring.
Moving back through the caravan, the superbly appointed kitchen features an impressive list of equipment including a domestic-style Spinflo combination oven, grill and hob with electronic ignition and flame failure safety device. The hob features 4 gas burners, with a flush fitting glass lid and splashback. A new large capacity rectangular, Spinflo stainless steel sink has a chrome swan neck mixer tap, washing up bowl, drainer and chopping board. There is also a large amount of ergonomic, split-level storage finished in wood effect and there is plenty of worktop space, finished in an attractive granite laminate. There is a 115 litre refrigerator with detachable full width freezer compartment, providing ample cold food storage for even the hungriest famlies!
Opposite the kitchen area is the TV point with a branded 15" flat screen TV and DVD player, with 12v, 230v and aerial sockets and this unit also houses the excellent Truma 3002 heating system.
Further back in the Pegasus 624, the bedroom features a desirable fixed bed which mounted in the offset position, allowing for a spacious, domestic style bedroom arrangement. The mattress is a De-Luxe sprung mattress, which guarantees a great nights sleep. The space frame bed lifts up on gas struts to provide access to a huge amount of storage underneath, and this can also be accessed via the external side locker door. Opposite the bed are a wardrobe and additional furniture units for clothes storage. The bedroom can be separated from the rest of the caravan with a concertina privacy screen.
At the very rear of the caravan, a domestic-style door with metal handle leads to an impressive and spacious end washroom, featuring a new design Thetford C-250 swivel cassette toilet with electric flush. There is also a large walk-in shower cubicle and inboard shower unit with ceramic ball mixer tap and power head. There is also a washroom hand-basin with swan-neck mixer tap, set in a vanity unit, finished in the same attractive wood effect laminate as in the rest of the Pegasus 624 and the whole washroom feels well-appointed, plush and roomy.
In addition to the impressive list of internal equipment, there are Midi & Mini Heki roof lights located throughout main habitation area, ensuring a light and airy feel to the whole interior and ensuring ventilation is available whenever it is required. Therer is a branded combination home entertainment system featuring a 15” screen television and DVD player, branded Radio/CD/MP3 player with iPod/MP3 player connection point and branded dual cone stereo speakers. There are 230v interior sockets as well as a TV station with 230v, 12v and two aerial sockets. The lighting in the Pegasus 624 is a mixture of 12v ambient and task lighting, featuring spot lamps and led strip lights in the kitchen area, providing a well-lit and pleasant atmosphere at night time. For ease of use there is a new design centrally located digital electrical control panel.
Heating is taken care of by the efficient Truma 3002 heating system with supplimentary 230v Ultraheat fan system, with slient night running, blowing warm air through vents throughout the living area, bedroom and washroom. The tried and tested Truma Ultrastore system supplies plenty of piping hot water as required.
In summary, this is a beautiful example of the hugely desirable Bailey Pegasus 624 caravan with its large U-shaped lounge, fixed bed and large end washroom, with all the up to date equipment available, for sale at a sensible price. In excellent condition, having been stored undercover by us from new, it will be fully valeted inside and out by us and will be fully serviced and damp checked by an independent Bailey specialist. It has all the original owners manuals and even comes with a number of caravanning extras, making this caravan superb value for money.
