Watergate Bay is a perfect beach for relaxing and also has some of the best waves in the area for surfers. Tents, Caravans, Motorhomes, Campervans, as well as dogs, are all welcome on the Watergate Bay campsite, and electric and non electric pitches are available. Close to the beach and in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the View really does have a panoramic view of this part of Cornwall coastline!
The View at Watergate Bay gives you the advantage of a tranquil, smaller campsite just a short walk to the beach with a dynamic holiday park nearby. Watergate Bay Touring Park is just 300 yards along a quiet road and all the facilities of the park are available to the customers of The View. These include: indoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts, skate park, pirate ship play area, arcade, pool tables, the Park Market, mini bus to the beach (only during the summer holidays) and the Cribbar Bar with free entertainment every night during the summer holidays. Facilities at The View include a small onsite shop within the reception building, offering necessities such as milk, bread, groceries, ice cream, drinks etc. as well as freshly baked croissants, baguettes and pasties during peak times.
In addition, “The Sunshine Cafe” has now moved to The View. Run by Mark for 10 years on Watergate Bay Touring Park, it is now in it’s new location as “Sunshine at The View” offering the same great food at reasonable prices, licensed, dog friendly and open to the general public.
The view also has a heated shower and toilet block, laundrette, chemical toilet point, washing up area and drinking water points. Prices range from £6.50 for adults and £2.50 for children.

Higher Hendra Farm
Set in a lovely location near the popular seaside town of Perranporth, Higher Hendra Barn is ideally located for visting any of the nearby beaches and towns, or to jump onto the main road and access anywhere in Cornwall, meaning that you can tailor your holiday experience to suit your needs. The caravan site is Caravan Club approved, and is located in the quiet lanes near Perranporth, Cornwall.
The site is surrounded by countryside and has wonderful views across to St Agnes Beacon and across the surrounding fields. Peace and quiet is what is on offer here and the owners aim to make it so that there is nothing to disturb you during your stay.
Each pitch comes with a hard standing and electric hook up and has plenty of space for the caravan awning and one vehicle. There is also a toilet/shower block as well as chemical toilet emptying facility.

Music Water Touring Park
Music Water Touring Park is a family run campsite that has been operating in the heart of Cornwall for many years. If you’re looking for camping or caravanning near Padstow, this is a great place to enjoy a family touring holiday in a beautiful location, perfectly situated in the middle of the countryside but a still only a short distance from some of Cornwall’s top attractions and beaches.
The site has separate paddock layout, which is perfect for those who prefer natural, unspoilt country surroundings and welcomes caravans, motor homes and tents. Pitches with electric hook up are available. If you don’t fancy bringing your own accommodation, static caravans are also available for hire. There are also onsite toilets, and hot showers whoch are free to use.
On the doorstep is the picturesque fishing village Padstow; still a working port, it is now also a foodie haven known for incredible seafood. The historic market town of Wadebridge is just 7 miles away, with boutiques featuring local produce and an all-important supermarket. Cornwall’s majestic Atlantic coast is close by, offering towering cliff and stretches of golden sand – perfect for coastal walks, lazy beach days and evening BBQs. Whether you fancy surfing or sailing; golf or cycling; a spot of fishing, or even something a tad more indulgent, Music Water is perfectly situated for almost any activity! The Camel Trail is a short drive away, and ideal for walking or cycling along the river, with cycle hires at both ends of the trail.
If you’re looking for surfing action, it may be worth heading to Harlyn Bay. The Harlyn Surf School offers surf lessons for beginners and intermediates, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, and coasteering. Equipment is included with all lessons – so whether you’re a complete newbie or an experienced watersports guru, there should be something to suit you.
And at the end of an active day, there are a multitude of incredible restaurants on the Music Water's doorstep. Padstow hosts three eateries from Rick Stein, as well as a Michelin star restaurant from Paul Ainsworth. For those looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, there is Rojanos, in the square. In Bodmin, the newly opened St Tudy Inn offers delicious meals made using locally sourced seasonal produce.
