Bailey Orion 440-4

Tired of making up a bed in your caravan? Are you looking for a 4 berth tourer with a double dinette and an end washroom, which is still light enough to be towed by a family car?  If so, this Bailey Orion 440/4 could well be the caravan for you.

This spacious 4 berth Bailey Orion 440/4 is in superb condition throughout, having been supplied by Lady Bailey and having had 2 very careful owners, and minimal use.  The exterior and interior condition of the caravan has to be seen to be fully appreciated and it has been fully valeted and serviced and damp checked by an independent workshop, providing real peace of mind for a new owner.  It has a very popular layout with a ‘U’ shaped lounge which can be converted into 2 single berths or a 'pull out' double in the front of the caravan, the kitchen in the midsection of the caravan and in the rear of the caravan there is a side dinette and at the very back, a bathroom with toilet, sink, vanity unit and separate shower cubicle and ample storage.

It will suit a couple looking for the convenience of two living and sleeping areas and an end washroom or a family with children who can sleep on the front double or use the bench seats as single beds.

The Orion models saw Bailey improving levels of luxury whilst also achieving a balance of affordability and minimising towing weight. The premise was to create a range of touring caravans which could be accessible to the majority of caravanners by minimising weight and cost. Constructed using Bailey's 'Alu-Tech' laminated 5 part bodyshell and interlocking framework design, this caravan is strong and durable, as well as being lightweight. Gloss white thick gauge aluminium sidewalls, combined with 15-inch silver alloy wheels and striking graphics ensure that the Orion is attractive both on the road and when sited.

Externally, the Orion is fitted with an Al-KO stabiliser and a steel spare wheel - mounted in an underslung Alko carrier. There is a gas-assisted handbrake and the caravan is fitted with 13 pin towing electrics.

The front section of the Olympus 440/4 has a lounge area with large panoramic windows, and 'aircraft style' overhead storage cupboards, finished in Bailey 'Walnut'. The wooden slats for the pull-out bedroll out from under the seat, creating a very large double bed. The lounge comfortably seats 4 people. Set into the roof of the lounge is a Heki 2 roof light - this gives the lounge a light and airy feel as well as plenty of ventilation when fully opened.  All the windows are double-glazed units and are fitted with fly screens, blackout blinds and curtains. There is a TV point with 12V, 230V and an aerial socket. There are detachable carpets with a hard-wearing wood effect vinyl flooring underneath. The soft furnishings are upholstered in a light coloured, modern design fabric. There is an inbuilt CD/Radio/MP3 player (with iPod connectivity).

Moving back through the caravan, the well-appointed kitchen has a Spinflo 3 ring gas hob, Spinflo Duplex combination grill and oven (rarely used), a 107 litre 3-way Thetford fridge with a full-width ice box, stainless steel sink (with drainer) and a factory fitted stainless steel 800w microwave oven. There is plenty of food/cooking utensil storage space and ample worktops. There is a small roof light above the kitchen area.

Aft of the kitchen, there is a separate living and sleeping area featuring a dinette by day, which converts into a small double bed at night. This area can be separated from the rest of the caravan if required and for families, provides children with their own area for reading, eating or playing.

At the rear of the Olympus 440/4, the end bathroom and can be used a private dressing room and is well-equipped with a Thetford c-250 swivelling cassette toilet with electric flush, a washbasin in a vanity unit and a separate shower cubicle.

The Orion 440/4 is fitted with an effective and efficient Whale floor mounted space heater and blown air heating.  The hot water is supplied with the tried and tested Truro Ultrastore dual fuel water heater.  Both pieces of equipment can be run off electric and gas ensuring that heat and hot water is available on demand.  The caravan is fitted with both 12V and mains LED lighting system ensuring that the caravan is cosy and well-lit at night.

The caravan is being sold with extras including a caravan cover, Wastemaster and Aquaroll.

This Bailey Orion 430/4 is ideal for a family looking for a 4 berth caravan which can be towed comfortably by a family car and which is modern and well-specced, attractive, practical and in exceptional condition.  It's also perfect for a couple looking for a caravan with lots of living space and two living and sleeping areas.

It will be fully serviced and damp-checked by an independent specialist workshop, ensuring that it will just need a new owner to hitch up and take it away for its next exciting caravanning holiday.
