Bessacarr market their caravans as "exclusive, contemporary designs", and this 2018 Bessacarr "By design" 495, which was first registered in June 2018, certainly looks like a luxury two berth caravan outside and inside and has an equipment list to match. It has had minimal use and has a full service history (last serviced in May 2025), but will go through another NCC Approved workshop full service now it is with us for that "Piran Peace of mind". It is Cris registered, comes from a smoke and pet free home and has been valeted by us, using Autoglym products.
Included in the sale price are a lot of expensive extras and these include: Power Touch Evolution motor mover, Isabella Minor porch pole awning with breathable ground sheet, curtains, storm straps and pegs, Al-Ko kitch lock, Al-Ko wheel lock, Aquaroll, Wastemaster, waste pipe, electric hookup cable, water pump, 2 x gas bottles, fire extinguisher, caravan step, front towing cover, kettle, towing mirrors, corner steady blocks, nose weight scales and rotary washing line.... To buy these extras would cost thousands of pounds on top of the caravan's sale price and here they are all included!
Externally, the Besscarr is built on a galvanised Al-Ko chassis, featuring two-way assisted handbrake, AKS 3004 stabiliser, Al-Ko shock absorbers, Al-Ko side jack, underslung spare wheel and the desirable Al-Ko ATC trailer control system, making this 2 berth extremely stable and safe to tow on the road. There are also modern 13pin electrics. The body is constructed from one-piece high gloss aluminium sidewalls and molded front and rear panels, set off by attractive graphite coloured decals and silver alloy wheels.
Outside, there is a gas bbq point, lined external access locker, high level brake light and exterior access battery box. There is also a Thule 2 bicycle bike rack which was dealer fitted.
At the front of the caravan, 3 double glazed panoramic wndows give a light and airy feel to the spacious lounge area which has pocket sprung wraparound seating which can be used as two single beds or as a large double utilising a pull out slat system mounted under the chest of drawers. The drawer has a handy fold-out coffee table. There is plenty of storage in the spaceframe design overhead 'aircraft-style' lockers and also under the seats. Above the sitting area is a large electric Heki Roof light providing fresh air ventilation and light when required. All the windows feature blackout blinds, flycreens and night-ventilation latches.
The soft furnishings are in a neutral cream and beige colour and of a contemporary design and are complemented by matching scatter cushions and curtains. The carpets are detachable (hardly used) and there is a wood effect vinyl flooring underneath. The lighting is a mix of energy saving LED, 12v task lighting, ambient pelmet lighting and over-locker lighting, ensuring that the Bessacarr is a very well lit and cosy place to be at night.
A well-appointed kitchen is positioned in the middle section of the Bessacarr 495, and features a stainless steel dual fuel hob (3 x gas and 1x electric 800w hotplate), stainless steel thermostatic grill and oven, built in 700w stainless steel microwave oven and 107 litre Thetford 3-way fridge with ice box, featuring digital controls. There is also a recessed granite effect sink with chrome pillar mixer tap. There is ample food/utensil storage space including a molded cutlery drawer and slide out storage rack and plenty of worktop space for food preparation.
At the rear of the caravan, domestic-style door leads to the is a spacious and luxurious bathroom which features a large walk-in shower cubicle with chrome shower head and mixer tap. The bathroom is also equipped with a Thetford C-250 swivelling cassette toilet with electric flush, wash basin with chrome mixer tap, vanity unit with mirror, cupboards and large wardrobe. There is also an opaque skylight and opening window for ventilation. All windows are fitted with independent black-out blinds, curtains and fly-screens. The habitation door also has a fly-screen and waste bin.
This Bessecarr Alde heating system is not only efficient, cozy but also silent, this wet heating system means the bathroom is equipted with a hand rail perfect for warming towels. The heating system runs off gas and electric and can also be pre-set to ensure your caravan is toasty after a day out adverturing. There is an easy-use touch control panel above the entrance door, with controls for mains power, battery monitoring, lights and water pump. The Bessacarr 495 is fitted with a Pwrtouch Powrwheel remote motor mover, making siting the caravan a piece of cake on tricky pitches.
It will be serviced and damp-checked and fully serviced by an AWS NCC approved workshop.The carvan will then be ready for it's next exciting caravan holiday.
The fact that it is being sold with a number of extras including wheel-clamp, hitch-lock, hook up cable, caravan step, Solar panel and motor mover make this caravan exceptional value for money.
In summary, this 2018 Bessacarr "By design" 495 is an exceptionally well looked after 2 berth caravan which is a credit to its former owner. The layout makes it ideal for a couple looking for a practical and high spec tourer at a great price and the extras included in the sale make it fantastic value for money.
