The Bailey Unicorn Cartegena is a very high specification, twin axle caravan with transverse fixed double bed and end bathroom. This caravan will suit a couple looking for a very spacious, luxury caravan with a large fixed bed which can be accessed from either side of the bed or a family of 4 with children who can use the lounge seats as single beds. It is a practical caravan for touring and the layout makes it ideal or use on a seasonal pitch, as a cost effective holiday home.
Built on a one-piece galvanised steel chassis, the Bailey Alu-Tech construction is a revolutionary design featuring structural interlocking aluminium extrusion framework with no external fixing points and concealed awning channels on both sides. The 5 part exterior panel assembly, built using a timber-free composite plastic skeleton, with high density insulation and GRP inner wall and impact resistant GRP outer skin, is fully bonded, with no screw fixings.
From a towing perspective, the Unicorn Cartegena features the latest safety technology including AL-KO ATC Trailer Control, AL-KO AKS stabilising hitch, Al-Ko secure wheel lock receivers and AL-KO Octagon Shock absorbers.
The new 'Polar White' body-shell features attractive graphics, set off by smart 14" silver alloy wheels with WSL anti-tamper bolts. Externally, the Unicorn Cartegena appears aerodynamic and eye-catching, resulting in a caravan which looks impressive when out on the road being towed, or when sited on a pitch. The 2 section Hartel door features a window, blind and fly-screen and provides easy access to the interior.
At the front of the caravan, the huge curved front window and integrated skylight are framed by two smaller side windows on either side. Made from toughened poly-plastic and featuring cassette blinds and fly-screens, the double-glazed windows ensure that the lounge is incredibly bright and airy by day. At night, a mixture of LED task and mood lighting transforms the living area into a cosy and private living space.
Storage is provided by the spacious Italian-design, split-level overhead lockers, finished, like the furniture throughout the Unicorn Cartegena, in a modern 'Mendip Ash' and featuring soft close hinges and chrome hardware, giving the furniture a real touch of class. A recessed front chest has 2 soft-close drawers and a handy slide out coffee table. The floor has a new durable textured finish vinyl and the deep pile 55oz loose-fit drop in carpets feel plush and warm under foot.
In the Unicorn Cartegena, 2 large seats provide comfortable living and dining space, and a large folding table (stored in a separate locker) is supplied for mealtimes. The seating is upholstered in attractive Bailey 'Kensington' fabric in neutral tones and the soft furnishings are complemented by co-ordinated curtains, four shaped armrests and two large and two small scatter cushions. The seats can be used as single beds or made into a large double using Bailey’s 'easy-glide' system.
Opposite the kitchen is a TV point with 12v, 230v and aerial sockets and additional storage finished in the same 'Mendip Ash’.
The focal point of the Unicorn Cartegena is the bedroom featuring a large transverse fixed double bed, with deluxe pocket sprung mattress allowing the bed to be made up for the duration of your holiday and ensuring a wonderful nights sleep. In terms of storage, the bed lifts up on gas struts to allow access to the large storage space underneath and there are single wardrobe with hanging rails on either side of the bed, again finished in 'Mendip Ash'. The bedroom can be separated from the rest of the caravan by a privacy screen. There are 12v LED reading lights and and upholstered headboard in the bedroom.
At the rear of the caravan, a domestic-style door leads to a spacious and fully-equipped washroom, featuring a separate rectangular shower cubicle with inboard shower, integral lighting and 'Ecocamel' power head. There is also a Thetford c-250 swivelling toilet with electric flush, a wash-basin with chrome mixer tap, vanity unit and an extendable shaving mirror. The washroom has a panel radiator and and roof light for ventilation.
The Alde Hydronic Compact 3020 programmable radiator heating and hot water system, with Alde touch screen control panel, gives complete control to the owner and ensures that occupants will never be cold, with the ability to set the heating to come on using a daily/ hourly timer to ensure you can wake up to a warm caravan or return to a cozy living space at the end of a long day.
Other equipment included with the Cartegena includes a Truma 100 watt solar panel mounted on the roof, allowing you to holiday where and when you want, a newly designed 230v RCD/MCD power supply system with 5 mains sockets, and a new 12v internal lighting system including LED down-lighters and directional spotlights. The leisure battery is now in a centrally located underfloor locker and there is a centrally located user-friendly control panel.
In terms of security, the Unicorn Cartegena has a Tracker Retrieve security system, is fully CRIS registered and is ready for AL-KO secure wheel locks.
This caravan is in exceptional unmarked condition externally and internally. This caravan is simply stunning in every way.
