The Bailey Pegasus Ancona is a fantastic family caravan with a very practical 5 berth layout. With a large front lounge, fully equipped central kitchen and a separate family area towards the rear incorporating a dinette and fixed bunk beds, it provides plenty of room for the whole family without feeling cramped.
At the front of the caravan is a bright and spacious lounge area with large windows to three sides, allowing plenty of natural light into the caravan and giving you a great view of your surroundings whilst pitched. The two parallel sofas provide plenty of room for the family to sit and relax during the day, with a freestanding table available for mealtimes. At night, the lounge can either be used as two single beds or quickly converted into a double bed. There is plenty of useful storage beneath the seating as well as in the overhead aircraft-style lockers. The windows are fitted with blinds and flyscreens, while the combination of overhead lighting and individual reading lights makes this a very comfortable area to relax in during the evening.
Moving into the central section of the caravan is the fully equipped kitchen, which provides everything required to cater for the whole family whilst away. Here you will find a sink with mixer tap, gas hob, separate oven and grill, fridge and a built-in microwave. There is also plenty of useful cupboard, drawer and overhead storage for your food, crockery and cooking equipment, together with useful worktop space for preparing meals.
Moving towards the rear of the caravan is what really makes the Ancona such a practical family caravan. On one side are the fixed bunk beds, giving the children their own permanent sleeping area without the need to make their beds up every night. Having fixed bunks is a huge advantage when travelling as a family, particularly with younger children, as their bedding can simply be left in place throughout your holiday. Opposite the fixed bunks is the rear dinette, creating a separate seating area away from the main front lounge. This is a great place for the children to sit and eat, play games or do some colouring whilst the adults relax at the front of the caravan.
At night, the rear dinette converts into the fifth berth, completing the Ancona's very versatile 5 berth sleeping arrangement. This layout works particularly well for families because the rear section effectively gives the children their own area of the caravan, whilst still leaving the large front lounge available for the adults once the children have gone to bed.
The caravan also has its own washroom facilities, incorporating a Thetford cassette toilet, washbasin and shower, meaning you have everything you need onboard whether staying on a fully serviced campsite or somewhere with more basic facilities.
Heating and hot water are provided onboard, allowing the caravan to be comfortably enjoyed throughout a much longer season and not simply during the warmer summer months. The Bailey Pegasus range also benefits from Bailey's Alu-Tech construction system, while inside the Ancona makes excellent use of the available space. There is plenty of storage throughout the caravan for clothing, bedding and all the other equipment that inevitably comes with family holidays.
The combination of the large front lounge, fixed bunk beds and separate rear dinette makes this a particularly appealing family layout. Unlike many caravans where virtually every sleeping area has to be assembled each evening, the fixed bunks can remain permanently made up, while the children also have somewhere of their own to sit during the day.
With accommodation for up to five people, a spacious lounge, fully equipped kitchen, fixed bunks, separate rear dinette and onboard washroom facilities, this 2016 Bailey Pegasus Ancona is a very practical family caravan with a layout that works just as well for weekends away as it does for longer summer holidays.
This caravan may also have a place available within our otherwise full CCTV monitored secure storage facility(subject to availability – please ask us).
