Cristall caravans, made by a Belgian caravan manufacturer and then imported and converted to U.K. spec, typify the continental approach to caravan design: compact, safe designs which are easy to tow, with well-finished and modern interiors. This Cristall Sprint 390 TK is no exception and has a very practical layout which features two lounge areas at either end of the caravan. Although the door is on the opposite side to U.K. caravans, these caravans certainly feel solid and well-made and all the equipment is standard so spares should not be an issue. Externally, there is a gas point for gas barbeques and a full-width storage locker, accessible from both sides of the caravan. The extended 'A frame' tow- hitch provides a stable and predictable towing experience, which minimises wind buffeting on the road. At the front of the caravan, a large panoramic window allows a large amount of light into the spacious u-shaped lounge which features attractive Royal Blue and Cream upholstery and matching curtains. The lounge seating converts into a large double bed. The overhead aircraft-style storage lockers are finished in a warm beech effect and have brushed aluminium handles and the furniture complements the laminated effect flooring. There is a large fold-down table, providing room for a large family meal. The interior of the caravan is surprisingly modern and feels solid and built to last. A Truma 'Trumatic' heating system provides thermostatically controlled heat throughout the van and the Truma water heater provides both the kitchen and washroom with hot water.
There is an opening roof-light in the centre of the caravan providing ventilation and light to the interior. Moving back to the centre of the caravan, there is a simple kitchen area with a Dometic fridge with freezer compartment (dual fuel), and a stainless steel sink with chrome mixer tap and 3 burner hob. There are 12v spot-lights above the kitchen area and elsewhere in the lounge areas.
On the opposite side of the caravan, a bathroom in wet-room layout, features a Thetford cassette toilet, sink with chrome mixer shower tap and vanity unit with mirrors.
At the rear of the caravan there is another lounge/dinette which converts into 2 single bunk beds, with the upper bunk bed folding out very quickly and easily thanks to it's clever design. This area also features overhead aircraft style storage lockers if required, and the same Royal Blue and Cream upholstery as in the main lounge. The bunk beds can be separated from the rest of the interior with a sliding privacy screen.
The caravan has is in excellent internal and external caravan and the interior in particular, is pleasingly clean, bright and well looked-after having had only light use by non smoker owners with no pets. The shower and kitchen are in good condition. This caravan comes with extras including a levelling jack, 50m hook up cable, caravan step, bike rack (for 3 bikes), spare wheel, wheel clamp. For peace of mind, the caravan will be fully serviced and damp checked prior to sale.
In summary, this excellent example of a continental caravan represents excellent value for money and it's well-built and nicely finished interior will ensure comfortable and enjoyable future caravanning holidays. Suitable for either couples wanting two lounge/ sleeping areas or small families, the Cristall Sprint 390TK is ready to hitch up and take away.
