The construction methods resulted in a lighter, stronger caravan, with an impervious water ingress barrier, backed by an industry-leading 10 year Water Ingress Warranty.
Buccaneer has always aimed to provide caravanners with the ultimate touring caravan experience, by building and equipping their caravans to the best possible standards. This 2013 Fluyt exemplifies this approach, exuding luxury, style and quality in every aspect.
Built on a BPW Swing V-tech chassis and featuring a Winterhoff WS3000 stabiliser, easy action handbrake, full height GRP front panel and ABS rear panel with moulded silver light inserts, reversing lights, fog lights and high level brake light, silver ABS hitch cover with gas locker light and 13 pin towing plug, the Fluyt's body and running gear has all the requirements for safe towing, practicality and user-friendly caravanning. The Fluyt also features heavy duty corner steadies, class-leading acrylic gas bottle storage designed to take lightweight bottles, and an exterior bbq point. The deep gloss silver one piece side panels are set off by striking graphite grey decals and silver balanced alloy wheels, resulting in a caravan which has an attractive and commanding presence, either when towed on the road or when sited on a pitch.
The Hartel split entrance door has integrated storage and flycreen, and this leads to a stunningly appointed and luxurious interior. This caravan has Grade 111 insulation in the floors, walls and ceilings, ensuring that in the Fluyt, you can caravan in luxury all year round.
At the very front of the caravan, 3 rectangular black tinted polyplastic windows are flush fitting and have a built-in protective rain sheild. The windows give the Fluyt an ultra-modern look and feature cassette blinds, flyscreens and night-ventilation latches and provide an unspoilt and private panoramic view from the living area. The lounge has deep comfortable sofas in spaceframe construction, and ithe seating area is perfect for relaxing or enjoying a meal with family and friends. The sprung seating is upholstered in an attractive and high quality fabric in neutral tones, and is complemented by matching curtains, scatter cushions and arm rests. Deep-pile stainguard 'Harvest Heathers' carpets, drop in over a 'chocolate bamboo' heavy duty wood-effect flooring. The lounge seating can be used as two single beds or converted into a double utilising a pull out slat system. There is also a curved front 4 drawer unit with self-closing mechanism with a built in folding coffee table. If a larger table is required there is a 'fold out' dining table which has it's own stowage within the kitchen cupboard. There is plenty of storage in the overhead 'aircraft style' lockers, which feature class-leading 24mm craftmen-built construction in 'Montego Bimbaun' effect with brushed nickel handles and there is additional storage under the seats. The large Heki Deluxe panoramic roof light creates an airy and light feel to the living area and is fitted with a cassette blind and flyscreen.
All the windows elsewhere in the Fluyt are Seitz series 6 privacy glass windows with casette blinds and flyscreens.
As you would expect with a top of the range Buccaneer caravan, the kitchen equipment is all high spec and includes a Thetford dual fuel hob, in anthracite finish with 800w electric hotplate and 3 gas burners with electronic ignition and chinchilla glass hob lid. A domestic-style Thetford midi prima thermostatic illuminated oven and separate grill, combined with built in 800w black gloss microwave oven set at eye level, ensures the ability to cater for every kind of meal, from a simple breakfast to a full roast dinner. There is ample food and utensil storage in lockers and cupboards, finished in the same attractive 'Montego Bimbaun', as well as substantial slide out storage racks. Work tops are finished in luxurious granite effect with polished ash edges and concealed lighting underneath and the Fluyt's kitchen has an extendable worktop section for food preparation. A black enamel stainless steel sink with Whale domestic style goose neck mixer tap, Chinchilla glass cover, removable sink drainer and food grade chopping board completes the kitchen equipment. A bi-directional, 3 speed omnister extractor fan is situated above the cooker, providing plenty of ventilation and extraction. A large, Dometic 117 litre fully electronic fridge, with freezer compartment and digital controls provides all the cold food storage required on a holiday.
Aft of the kitchen, the single axle Buccaneer Fluyt has a large bedroom with a fixed twin single beds incorporating 'Coolmax' memory foam mattresses for total sleeping comfort. This set up allows the beds to be left made up for the duration of your holiday, with the added beneft of being able to lift the bed frame on its gas struts, to access the large storage space underneath. The bedroom can be separated from the rest of the caravan for privacy. Also in this bedroom is a large wardrobe with a courtesy light, drawers, and overhead 'aircraft style' lockers, all finished in 'Montego Bimbaun'. There is a Heki roof light above the beds adding to a feeling of spaciousness and also providing the opportunity to stare up at the stars on clear nights!
The Buccanner Fluyt doesn't compromise on space or luxury with washroom facilities either: this model has an impressively spacious bathroom in the rear of the caravan, accessed through a 32mm thick domestic style door and metal handle. The stunning walk-in shower cubicle with tile effect walls is very roomy, and features a chrome finished mixer tap and shower head. There is a granite effect bathroom vanity basin with splashback, vanity areas with LED downlighting and dedicated sockets for hairdryer and appliances. There is a swivelling Dometic cassette toilet (with electric on-board flush), mirror and ample storage, and all furniture is furnished in 'Montego Bimbaun'. The bathroom has a Mini-Heki ventilation rooflight and there is even a heated towel rail and a pull-out drying rack!
Buccaneer provided increased levels of luxury with the heating system too and the Fluyt has the Alde Hydronic Compact 3010 radiator central heating system with combined water heating which gives total programmable 24hr timer control over the temperature in the caravan. This system also has mobile phone technology, allowing the heating to be turned on and off remotely! Combined with the Grade 111 insulation in the Fluyt, this is a caravan which can be comfortably used all year round. The Fluyt is equipped with the Whale Aquasource waterline system and a 40l onboard water tank.
Other equipment in the Buccaneer Fluyt includes five 230v sockets, 12v LCD touch control panel with battery selection, lighting, water tank level and water pump circuit controls.
The lighting in the Fluyt is a mix of 12v spot lighting, over-locker ambient lighting and 230v mains lighting, all featuring LED energy saving bulbs giving a 50% reduction in total power consumption.
For entertainment, the Fluyt is equipped with an Avtex 16" LCD flat screen TV/DVD player with built in freeview, CD player and USB port for playback and recording. There are two TV positions with 230v, 12v and aerial sockets and an Avtex omni-drectional aerial to ensure excellent reception. There is a CD radio tuner with Ipod and MP3 playback. The Fluyt also has solar and satellite TV connectivity.
Security features on the Buccaneer Fluyt include CRiS identity etching, PIR alarm with leg sensor, Suretrack Thatcham tracker, concealed data chip and high security door locks.
