For their 2008 range of caravans, Abbey continued focussed on combining a modern exterior design with high-quality interior furnishings to create a caravan which is modern in appearance, well-appointed and which now makes an excellent secondhand purchase. This Abbey GTS 215 is a fantastic, spacious 2 berth caravan with large end bathroom with a separate walk-in shower. This high specification caravan comes from a non-smoking, no pets home and comes complete with all the original manuals and paperwork. The owner purchased the caravan from a local dealer in 2016 and had the caravan fitted with a remote motor mover, jacking points and purchased a Kampa Air awning and caravan cover (unused) which is included in the price.
The Abbey GTS 215 is an attractive caravan, with its gloss white sidewalls being set off my striking graphite grey and silver graphics and sports alloy wheels. This caravan looks great whether on the road or sited on a pitch. The exterior is 7'6" wide and 21'1" long and is built on an AL-KO galvanised steel chassis and has an AL-KO stabiliser. The GTS 215 has alloys wheels and a spare wheel in an underslung carrier and the body construction features a one-piece full height rear molded panel, with high level brake light and a roof spoiler. The molded front panel has three opening double glazed units, with night ventilation latches and a locker door with gas struts.
In the living area, there are large overhead aircraft-style lockers with patented injection molded spaceframe construction and hardwood framed doors. All the interior furniture is finished in Ferrara light oak and this, combined with the integrated corner lighting, creates a relaxing and comfortable interior. The spaceframe construction is carried over into the seating area which features attractive beige and cream upholstery with matching curtains and loose carpets over a hardwearing laminate effect floor. In the ceiling, a Heki clear rooflight with integrated flyscreen and blind, allow light and ventilation into the lounge. A radio/cd/MP3 player with Ipod connection as well as a TV station with satellite point and Status 530 directional aerial and booster take care of your entertainment needs.
All of the windows throughout the caravan, are tinted double glazed units with integrated blinds, flyscreens and night ventilation latches.
In the centre of the caravan, the kitchen is modern and well-appointed, and features a large 107 litre fridge/freezer with curved door, electronic ignition and digital controls. There is an integrated microwave oven, recessed stainless steel bowl and chrome mixer tap and chopping board. A 'Stoves' thermostatic oven and separate grill, complete with dual fuel hob with electric hot plate and 3 burners and glass hob lid, cater for all cooking requirements.
The spacious rear washroom is in excellent condition and features a large 'walk-in' shower with chrome finish shower attachment and large Thetford c250 cassette toilet with electric flush. There is also a washbasin with chrome mixer tap and vanity unit and overhead, a multi-directional rooflight provides ventilation.
Heating is provided by a Truma dual fuel 3kw gas and 2kw elecric space heater with blown air system ducted to the living, sleeping and washroom areas. Hot water is supplied to the kitchen and washroom by the Truma dual-fuel gas and 800w mains electric storage water heater.
The electric system consists of a fully protected RCD/MCD system with three 230v sockets and a 12v LCD/touch control panel with battery selection, battery meter, clock, lighting and water pump controls.
This Abbey 215 GTS is in excellent condition throughout and will be fully serviced and damp-checked prior to sale, providing peace of mind for its new owner. The caravan was purchased from a local caravan dealer in 2016, and the owner had a remote motor mover and jacking points fitted prior to delivery.
The sale also includes an expensive Kampa Air inflatable awning with a breathable groundsheet (used twice), a caravan cover and a number of essential caravanning extras, making it exceptional value for money.
This high-spec and spacious touring caravan is excellent value for money and would be ideal for a couple requiring an affordable 2 berth caravan that is ready to hitch up and take away for a comfortable and fun caravanning holiday!
