Are you looking for a large family 6 berth caravan, which has been serviced and damp-checked at a budget 'starter caravan' price? If so, this 2001 Swift Conqueror 650 Lux should tick all your boxes!
This large twin axle Swift Conqueror 650 Lux is the perfect caravan for families with children, due to its flexible living and sleeping arrangements. The double lounge arrangement with large front lounge and rear parallel seating, allows adults and children to have separate sleeping and living areas when required, which can be so useful during the day and night! Although this is a 2001 model, it was a high spec caravan when new and has all the comforts and equipment found in more modern caravans, providing a fantastic entry to caravanning for families on a budget.
This caravan would be perfect sited on a seasonal pitch, as an alternative to a holiday home. It would also make an excellent 'live-in' caravan or as extra accommodation...or even as 'air b&b'!
Built on a galvanised chassis, the Swift Conqueror 650 lux features aerodynamic GRP front and rear panels, incorporating a high-level spoiler and brake light at the rear. Heavy duty corner steadies, external wet-locker, external aerial socket, BBQ point and an easy access gas bottle locker give an indication that this was a premium caravan in 2001.
The exterior door with window, blind and cassette fly-screen leads to the interior which is both spacious and well appointed. At the front of the caravan, 3 polyplastic double glazed windows feature fly-screens and blinds. The lounge area has room for up to six for relaxing, with two bench seats, upholstered in soft chenille fabric, which can be used as single beds or converted into a large double utilising a pull-out slat system. The seats can be lifted to access the large storage space underneath. The chest of drawers also has a handy fold-out coffee table and for mealtimes, there is a folding freestanding dining table stored in its own locker. There are additional overhead lockers finished in 'Korsica Apple' and the upholstery is complemented by matching bolster cushions and curtains.
Moving back through the Conqueror 650 the kitchen has all the necessary equipment for cooking everything from simple breakfasts to a full roast dinner, including a domestic style Stoves oven with flush fitting 4 burner hob, oven, grill, pan storage and flame failure device. There is also a recessed steel sink and drainer with flush fitting hinged worktop and Reich tap. Cold food storage is provided by an 86 litre Electrolux 3 way fridge and there is an Omnivent 3-speed fan to provide ventilation to the kitchen area.
Opposite the kitchen, there is a large wardrobe with hanging space for clothes and a well-positioned TV unit with 12v, 230v and aerial sockets and above this, a drinks/cocktail cabinet. This unit also houses the excellent Truma 3002 3kw space heater with ultraheat ducted blown air heating system.
Further back is the washroom, which has a Thetford cassette toilet with electric flush and a shower, in 'wet-room' configuration as well as integrated storage for toiletries. Hot water is literally on tap thanks to the Truma Ultrastore water heater and there is a 9-gallon onboard water tank.
A sliding door leads to the living space in the rear which for daytime, is configured as a side dinette with 2 seats and a table, and a long bench seat. At night, this can be converted into 2 single beds or made up into another large double bed using the slats which pull out from the chest of drawers in the centre. This versatile arrangement allows occupants to sleep at either or both ends of the caravan, whilst still being able to access the centrally positioned washroom.
Other electrical equipment in the Swift Conqueror 650 Lux includes an easy access electrical control panel over the door, mains electrics with 4 230v sockets, a combination of 230v main lights and 12v reading lights. Entertainment is provided by radio/cd player and 2 tv stations with 12v, 230v and aerial sockets.
For a family with children, this 2001 Swift Conqueror 650 Lux has all the advantages of a large caravan with versatile seating and sleeping arrangements to suit. It will be fully valeted inside and out by us and will be serviced and damp-checked by an independent specialist, providing real peace of mind for a new owner.
This Conqueror 650 Lux will provide spacious and practical family caravanning on a budget...the only question is where will you pitch it?!
