It has a very popular layout with a ‘U’ shaped lounge which can be converted into 2 single berths or an enormous 'pull out' double (6’ 10” x 6’ 3”) in the front of the caravan, the kitchen in the midsection of the caravan and in the rear of the caravan there is a very spacious bathroom with toilet, sink, vanity unit and large separate shower cubicle and ample storage.
The second generation of Olympus models saw Bailey improving levels of luxury whilst also achieving a balance affordability and minimising towing weight. Constructed using Bailey's 'Alu-Tech' laminated 5 part bodyshell and interlocking framework design, this caravan is strong and durable, as well as being lightweight. Gloss white thick gauge aluminium sidewalls, combined with 15 incg silver alloy wheels and striking grey graphics ensure that the Olympus is attractive both on the road and when sited.
Externally, the Olympus is fitted with an Al-KO stabiliser ATC (Alko Trailer Control system - Anti snake device - click here to find out more) and a steel spare wheel - mounted in an under slung Alko carrier. There is a gas assisted hand brake and the caravan is fitted with 13 pin towing electrics.
The front section of the Olympus 530/4 has a lounge area with large panoramic windows, and 'aircraft style' overhead storage cupboards. The wooden slats for the pull out bed roll out from under the seat, creating a very large double bed. The lounge comfortably seats 4 people. Set into the roof of the lounge is a Heki 2 roof light - this gives the lounge a light and airy feel as well as plenty of ventilation when fully opened. All the windows are double-glazed units and are fitted with a fly screens, blackout blinds and curtains. There is a TV point with 12V, 230V and an aerial socket. There are detachable carpets with a hard-wearing wood effect vinyl flooring underneath. The soft furnishings are upholstered in a light coloured, modern design fabric. There is an inbuilt CD/Radio/MP3 player (with iPod connectivity).
Moving back through the caravan, the well appointed kitchen has a Thetford 4 ring gas hob, separate grill and oven (rarely used), a 3-way Dometic fridge with a full width ice box, stainless steel sink (with drainer) and a factory fitted microwave oven. There is plenty of food/cooking utensil storage space, and ample worktops. There is a small roof light above the kitchen area.
Aft of the kitchen, the bedroom can be separated from the rest of the caravan by a privacy screen and features a large offset 'French' double fixed bed, with a comfortable mattress. The frame can be lifted up on gas struts to access the huge storage space underneath. Opposite the bed is a wardrobe with a hanging rail and lots of space for clothes.
At the rear of the Olympus 530/4, the very spacious end bathroom and can be used a private dressing room and is extremely well-equipped with a Thetford c-250 swivelling cassette toilet with electric flush, a washbasin in a vanity unit and a separate large 'walk-in' shower cubicle.
The tried and tested Truma 3002 blown air heating, space heater and Ultrastore water heater both can be run off electric and gas ensuring that heat and hot water is available on demand.. The caravan is fitted with both 12V and mains LED lighting system ensuring that the caravan is cozy and well-lit at night..
