Buccaneer aimed to blend quality, style and comfort for its 2004 range and the company proudly stated that their caravans were some of the the highest specification touring caravans on the market. If they have been well-maintained, caravans such as these make excellent secondhand purchases for people wanting to try caravanning for the first time. This 2004 Buccaneer Elan 14 2- berth caravan is in lovely condition inside and out, having been previously sold by us and very well cared for by its current owners. Much of the equipment which is an optional extra in other caravans came as standard on Buccaneers and at this price, this very well-presented Elan 14 represents great value for money.
At the front of the caravan, 3 double glazed panoramic windows with blinds and flyscreens, let a large amount of light into the lounge area which comprises 2 single beds, which convert into a large double using the pull-out slat system. The soft furnishings in muted creams and rich burgundy are complemented by the loose lay Mexican spice carpets. A warn, bright Toronto Maple veneer is used for the interior walls, aircraft-style storage lockers and cabinets, which come with with soft gold handles. An illuminated Heki Duette Luxus roof light makes the living area feel light and spacious. For entertainment, there is a multi-play CD / Radio with stereo speakers. Internal lighting is provided by 12v eyeball reading lights, 230v dual power lighting and Nova 12v halogen lights. Elsewhere in the Elan, there are Seitz Duette side and rear double glazed flush fit slimline windows with integral blinds and flyscreens.
Moving back through the spacious 2 berth layout, in the centre of the caravan, there is a spacious wardrobe and tv station, for use with the fitted status directional TV aerial. The Truma Ultraheat space heater is also located here. The bathroom, in wet room layout, features an electric flush Thetford cassette toilet and a sink and shower, complete with duckboard, fitted with Reich chrome shower and vanity taps and finished with a Roman blind.
At the rear of the caravan, the well-appointed kitchen has a brushed stainless steel effect back wall and features an Argente buttermilk, sink, hob and drainer with a bespoke, washing up bowl and Reich matt nickel kitchen taps Chinchilla glass hob and sink covers double as chopping boards. The kitchen also has a Dometic RM6291 90ltr power fridge, Microwave oven, and thermostatic oven. Hot water is provided by the Truma ultrastore water heater.
Externally the Elan is fitted with High Powered Silver alloy wheels with distinctive Buccaneer wheel centres, Big Foot corner steadies and a spare alloy wheel in the under slung wheel carrier.
The Winterhoff WS 3000 stabiliser provides the a safe and stable towing experience.
This Buccaneer Elan 14 comes with a long list of extras including Kampa Rally 260 awning with curtains, pegs, monsoon poles, storm straps and a Sunncamp heavy duty awning carpet. there is also a motor mover (untested), motion sensor alarm, Aquaroll with storage bag and mains pump, Wastemaster with storage bag and dual waste pipe, Kampa ‘Susie’ storage unit, hitch lock, wheel clamp, 25m hook up cable, gas bottle, fire extinguisher and caravan step.
In summary, this Buccaneer Elan 14 is an excellent example of a high spec 2004 caravan, which comes from a smoke and pet free home. It comes with service history and all its original manuals and will be fully serviced and damp checked prior to sale. Being sold with an array of extras, including an awning, this caravan is ready for its next caravanning holiday.
