Ayr Holiday Park
With stunning views across one of the world’s most iconic bays, Ayr Campsite’s panoramic sea view takes in Porthmeor Beach, St Ives Bay and 30 miles of Cornish coastline.
Situated on the outskirts of St Ives, Ayr is open all throughout the year, and welcomes guests with motorhomes, touring caravans, campervans and tents. There is also a range of accommodation sited at the park available for guests to hire, including luxurious caravans, flats and apartments.
There are excellent views over the sea from most pitches and although the field is naturally sloping, there are areas of level terracing. Almost all pitches have an electric hook-up (16 amp), a tap and drain and the campsite has hard standing and grass pitches. The park
The park also has a modern amenities block with showers and toilets, while a laundrette, a chemical waste disposal point and a washing up area are among the other facilities offered for guests to use throughout their stay.
There is an outdoor children’s play area too, as well as a games room for keeping the whole family entertained, no matter the weather. The on-site café and restaurant is open all through the day and serves a great selection of foods and drinks. Guests preferring to self-cater can stock up at the on-site store, where they can also exchange gas cylinders if necessary.
For many guests, the first port of call is St Ives itself, a wonderful town with something for everyone. The town is most well known as being a cultural centre and, unsurprisingly, Tate St Ives is one of the most popular attractions in the town, however there are also some great shops along with cafés, bars and restaurants. St Ives also has plenty of open space to explore and parks for the kids, while of course the beach is on your doorstep. St Ives is a good starting point from which to explore other parts of Cornwall including Lands End, Penwith and the North Coast. Ayr is equipped with all the required facilities and the shower and toilet block is kept clean and maintained to a very high standard. Services such as showers, hot water, hair dryers, shaver points etc. are all free. There are also dishwashing sinks and a chemical toilet disposal point, plus a waste and water point for motor caravans.
Many people return year after year, for some of the most spectacular views from any touring pitch in the U.K. whilst still being within easy reach of St ives town and popular beaches.
